First tooth!!

I'm sorry I have gotten behind on the blog again. It has certainly been a challenge to keep up with it every day. But we've come all this way--we will finish out the year!

Big news today: Evelyn's first tooth is poking through, and boy is it sharp! Ouch! Bottom front right, and the left one is close behind. It will be hard to photograph, but it's in there.

Went to the pediatrician for her 6 month checkup today...

15 lbs, 14.5 oz

Average weight, average height...

Trying to Crawl!

Today Evelyn enjoyed a long, relaxing bike ride.

But that wasn't enough moving for her...

She's been getting up on her hands and knees and rocking

She can't crawl forward yet, but she is great at scooting backward and pivoting.

Those darn teeth aren't in yet, but they can't be too far off!

All the discomfort is making her hair stand on end!

(Actually, we greased her head with oil and combed out the rest of her cradle cap--worked great.)

Tomorrow she goes to the doctor to get more shots--oh no!

9/17/16: First Night on the Town

Tonight the whole family went out for live music.

Evelyn's first band: The Fights, of course.

Wow--we were really starting to get behind on this blog! It has been a busy week. Savannah & Mike had their 4-year wedding anniversary; Savannah's dad has been visiting; we have all been battling a terrible flea infestation in the house; Savannah is running a fundraiser event tomorrow for the Friendship Grove Nature Playscape; and there is a lot of sleep to catch up on!

Evelyn seems to be teething pretty hard, but handling her discomfort pretty well for being a baby. Her hair grows more curls by the day. She likes to sit on her bottom to play and is very stable now. She likes to stand while being supported. And today she was getting up on her hands and knees and rocking--the precursor to crawling. Looks like our next project will be baby-proofing the house!
