Good news! (No baby yet, though.) We don't have to spend tonight in the hospital. Thanks go out to everyone who helped get contractions started started today: our friend and midwife-in-training, Mary Stemper, who overnighted us some miracle herbs; Jim at Urbana Acupuncture; Nelson the reflexologist at Green Yoga Spa; Tami the yogi-doula at the Living Yoga Center; you all for your love and well-wishes; and of course, our little baby who is picking up the pace.
We went in to the hospital at 7:30pm for an exam and fetal monitoring, and everything is looking great! Baby is responding well to contractions. We will call the hospital back at 7am to update them on how things go at home tonight and take it from there. Hopefully we are still on track for a minimal-intervention childbirth!
Now stop texting us--we gots to get some sleep!
